Thank you for your interest in our Internal Medicine Residency program. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is deeply invested in providing outstanding clinical training, individualized career mentoring, a commitment to advancing racial justice and a fertile academic environment with cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art clinical care. This extraordinarily rich setting, combined with our dedication to support physician’s individual and personal development, provide the ingredients for training future leaders in Internal Medicine.
This year, unlike any other, our residents have gone above and beyond their clinical requirements of medical training. They selflessly and bravely stepped forward to put in thousands of extra hours to help in the battle against COVID-19. They also took on leadership roles in understanding the virus through clinical trials and in the laboratory. The Department of Medicine could not be prouder of them and their willingness to pivot unexpectedly and lean in when we needed them the most.
As a consequence of the pandemic, we will be conducting all residency interviews on-line this year. We are committed to doing so in a way that ensures equal access for applicants from across the country and world regardless of whether or not you have had a chance to rotate at or visit the Brigham. We hope that you will have the opportunity to explore the Brigham on-line to experience the enthusiasm of our trainees for clinical medicine and the pursuit of excellence.
