Jonathan Fried

Jonathan Fried joins us after receiving his MD from Harvard Medical School, and a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy school of Government. At Harvard, Jonathan ran voter registration drives as vice president of HMS Citizen Physicians and served on the Harvard Center for Primary Care Student Leadership Committee. Jonathan has done research on the financial implications of primary care-based buprenorphine prescribing, assisted a health insurer create new payment models, and developed a quality measurement strategy for the Pennsylvania Rural Health Model. Before medical school, Jonathan worked at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where he supported the Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative, a national effort to transform primary care. Jonathan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a BA in Political Science, and served as a Congressional Intern in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Delia Shen

Delia Shen comes to us after receiving her MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, where she was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Throughout medical school, Delia volunteered at Einstein’s student-run free clinic, ultimately overseeing 300 students there, and spearheaded initiatives to improve care for uninsured and undocumented people in the greater New York City region. She has also done global health work in Uganda, improving diabetic outcomes in a rural clinic there, and was selected twice to represent Einstein on a six-person team to the International Emory Global Health Case Competition. Before medical school, Delia spent a year doing qualitative research on behavioral health access as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, a competitive national leadership development program. Delia graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Biochemistry and Healthcare Management

Nathan Petrou

Nathan Petrou comes to us after receiving his MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. During medical school, Nathan focused his extracurricular time on advocacy for vulnerable populations with extensive volunteer and leadership work at the Worcester Free Clinic Program, by caring for chronically ill children, and completing research on models of HIV care. Nathan has completed basic science research in cardiovascular medicine, contributed to a clinical trial analyzing the impact of a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program on physiologic parameters in subjects with an ischemic cardiomyopathy, and contributed to a guide on severe snake envenomation in The Rational Clinical Examination Education Guides. Nathan graduated magna cum laude with distinction from Kenyon College, with a BA in Molecular Biology.

Khin-Kyemon Aung

Khin-Kyemon Aung joined us after receiving her MD from Harvard Medical School and her MBA from Harvard Business School. For the past 5 years, Khin served as Managing Editor of Healthcare: The Journal of Delivery Science and Innovation and played a pivotal role in growing the national research publication to its current form. Khin’s current research focuses on innovative approaches by health systems to address social determinants of health and non-medical needs of patients. She has completed internships at both Iora Health, a multi-state primary care organization; and CareMore Health, an integrated payer-provider system that cares for Medicare Advantage and Medicaid patients. Before medical school, Khin spent a year as a Fellow at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, where she helped design and implement new payment and delivery models for vulnerable populations. Outside of research, Khin has dedicated herself to mentorship and advising, serving as a residential premedical adviser to Harvard College students. Khin graduated from Harvard College, with a BA in Human Evolutionary Biology and Global Health and Health Policy.
